Awards and Recognition

We are proud to share the awards and recognition we have received at Bethlehem Lutheran School, and to tell you more about what each means. It is because of the combined efforts of our faculty, staff, parents, and community that we have successfully met the goals for attaining these awards.

Our school is accredited through the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation (NLSA).  We achieved this goal in July of 2012.

National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) encourages and recognizes Lutheran schools that provide quality Christian education and engage in continuous improvement.  It involves an intense self-study that evaluates the academic quality and spiritual dimension of the school.  The standards and report forms are similar to other accrediting processes, both secular and religious.

Bethlehem Lutheran School is also accredited through AdvancED Accreditation Commission and the Northwest Accreditation Commission.

AdvancED is a network of over 32,000 schools and systems in more than 70 countries that are committed to continuous quality improvement through accreditation.

Our Principal, Eric Haan, has been awarded the Lux Christi (Light of Christ) Award in February 2015.

Each year, Concordia University presents the Lux Christi (Light of Christ) Award to recognize outstanding Lutheran educators who have served the Lord and the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) with distinction.  This award annually honors an outstanding Lutheran school teacher or principal who have contributed significantly to the Lutheran education ministry.
