At Bethlehem Lutheran School, the office of the Washington State Superintendent of Schools approves our academic program and facilities annually, and we are honored to hold national accreditation through NLSA (National Lutheran School Accreditation). This accreditation is reciprocal with Northwest Accreditation. As an accredited school, BLS will continue to adhere to the high standards of Lutheran schools across the nation.
Our curriculum is Christ-centered and specifically intended to reflect the school's philosophy and objectives. We offer courses in:
- Christian Studies
- Computer Science
- Physical Education
- Social Studies
Technology in our Classrooms
In addition to an excellent basic education curriculum, Bethlehem students have opportunities to enter local competitions in writing, science, math, spelling, and art. Our students also receive instruction in computer literacy, word processing, and Internet research.
As we move into the future, teachers and students at BLS are utilizing technology throughout the curriculum. We issue our 6th through 8th grade students a tablet computer to use as a powerful tool to enrich and broaden their educational experience. Younger students benefit from teacher iPads in the classroom and will experience more opportunities to learn using these tools in the future.
